Here are 10 Free things to do in the Treasure Valley! We all have different ideas of what fun is but I think this list gives a few ideas for everyone. Let me know what you are most interested in doing off this list.
Farmers Market-
Caldwell, Nampa & Boise all have great farmers markets. Visiting them is free. However, if you decide to support a small business owner I promise they will love you!

Freak Alley-
This is downtown Boise and such a fun site to see. The different art you will find just might blow your mind

Table Rock-
This is a great opportunity to go for a short drive or get out and hike. At the top you will find the Cross that overlooks The City of Trees. It’s beautiful in the summer but the best is in the fall when the colors are changing.

Indian creek Plaza-
a fun place to go and people watch. In the summer you can enjoy cornhole, splash pads, farmers markets on Tuesdays between 5pm-8pm and life music.
In the winter they have the Christmas lights that go around the creek and for a fee you can ice skate on the rink they set up.

Local Library-
Libraries usually have a full calendar of fun and classes for the kids! We go to the library weekly to play and check out books to read at home. They have plenty of classes and resources for our local community. I’m thankful for our library.

Kathryn Albertson Park-
Pack a picnic and take a stroll around this beautiful park! If you look closely in the water you might even see the turtles.

Geocaching-
This really can be done anywhere and it’s so much fun! It’s a scavenger hunt for all ages. Some may be virtual where you read a sign and answer a question, some a tiny where you just sign your name and some are big where you can trade trinkets. The kids absolutely love geocaching!

Lake Day-
Enjoy a day at Lucky Peak or Lake Lowell.
We love Lake Lowell and enjoy a full day in the sun or under the trees for shade. This lake has a perfect beach to lounge while the kids swim. Pack a lunch and enjoy the day.

Float the Boise River-
Idaho native here!! Some will gasp when they read this but I have only ever floated the River ONE time. It was so fun and even better when you have a big group of friends! It’s a great way to cool off in the summer

Movies on the Blue-
Is there anything better than watching a movie on the big screen?? What if I said you could watch a movie on the big screen on the Boise State University Turf! WHATTTT?!
And IT’S FREE!
I am so happy our community puts things together like this for us.
There are other parks you can catch movies in including Kleiner Park, Julia Davis Park, Settlers park, Optimist Park and many more.
