How to propagate - String of Turtles
String of Pearls & Turtles just might be one of my favorite house plants.
Although, First would have to be a Snake Plant.
Propagating really isn't a hard task.
If you have all the supplies you'll accomplish this quickly and be on to growing your collection.
The supplies you will need:
• Scissors
• Planter
• Potting mix
(some people have strong opinions on what kind of soil you should use and what's best for the plant. I don't and I just use Miracle Grows Potting Soil)
• Water
And of course the plant you are cutting from.

First you will want to fill your planters of choice with your soil.

The next thing you will do is find a nice long string that you can cut a few inches off.

After you have your cutting I place it right on top of the soil in the planter. I personally like to cover one end of the cutting as if it were a root.

Then, you need to give it a good watering.
The first 1-2 months you will think nothing is happening with your new baby. I have felt this way many times. Things are happening tho!
keep your plant wet. For the first 1-2 months I keep my soil damp. After that I will let them dry out between waterings.
Next I'll show you a picture of some String of Pearls that I have propagated and are ready to sell.

I hope you enjoy! Happy growing!
