Maybe an Observation of Negative People

Why are negative people the most prominent in your life when you need the exact opposite?

I am someone who struggles. I don’t often openly talk about my struggles with mental health because I don’t feel like it deserves the attention.

I am someone who needs to and likes to be surrounded with positive, happy, excited people.

Yes, we all struggle. We’ve all been in a place when money was tight, someone died, the house needs repaired, the car broke down. Sometimes life just sucks but why do we dwell here in this time? It’s normally temporary, right?

When we look outside of the storm there’s usually something beautiful.

Do you have a good support system?

Did you wake up this morning?

Do you have food on your table?

Is the sun still shining?

Sure, life can suck and times can be hard but there’s always something to look forward to. There’s always something positive.

Get yourself away from the people who suck the life out of you. Don’t surround yourself with people who can only talk about how little money there is. How bad their life sucks.

We often choose the path we go down. We choose to spend the money, we choose to be upset that the water heater needs replaced.

Instead fix the problem and move on.

I know first hand that all of this is easier said than done. But what I have learned is surrounding yourself with positive people makes it easier to be positive.

I am on my own journey of happiness and I learning that negative people don’t belong in my inner circle. They don’t belong in yours either.
