Momma Bear - It's Who I Am

Updated: Aug 22

Momma is who I am. I am the momma of two beautiful girls. 5 and 2 at the time of writing. They saved my life and they don’t even know it.

My husband calls me Honey Bear. And while I’m not always sweet like honey I am always like a bear.

Look up the symbolism of Bear and you will find that a Bear represents strength, family, and courage.

The bear is thoughtful and independent, with little need for fellowship. This is where my small circle of friends comes in.

The bear is also self-contained and strong-willed. (I’m so sorry hubby, for being strong-willed)

A Bear is of great support and comfort to those who crave human company simply for personal reassurance rather than for the simple pleasure of being with friends. He makes lonely periods of life far easier.

I couldn’t agree more with this interesting description of the bear I found on

So again, where did Momma’s Den come from?

I am a momma who is called Honey Bear. Bears live in a den and so does this momma.

I will love and protect my babies until I can’t anymore. I will be a friend to a friend in need. I will be strong, independent, put my family and myself first.

Boundaries are oh so important. You wouldn't go knocking on the door of a den you weren't invited to, would you?

I am kind and loving until you give me a reason not to, then I will shut you out.

I will be in Momma’s Den. Will you visit me?

What animal would you say you are most like?
