The Perfect Kitchen Must Haves

The absolute perfect kitchen and must haves - if you ask me.

I am a dreamer by nature and someday soon I will be building my dream home from scratch.

Taylor and I talk about our forever home so often that we already know almost exactly what we want.

So, to me, this is a post of what the “perfect” kitchen would consist of.

A pot filler at the range which must be gas.

I have cooked on gas and electric and gas is the way to go!

A large walk in pantry where any and all countertop appliances can be stored. I am a sucker for clean countertops with nothing on them. I would also like the pantry to have cupboard like doors so it looks “hidden” if you will.

A pull out drawer just for trash cans and a place to also store the bags. All in one. I don’t want a trash can in the middle of my floor. I find it tacky.

A drawer with specific slots to hold baking sheets, cupcake tins, cooling racks, etc.

A large island or 2. We have this now and I just don’t think I could ever go back. It’s great when entertaining because everyone seems to gather in the kitchen. And when dinner is ready and you want to do it buffet style, you just like everything up on the island.

Double oven.

This is another thing I have been spoiled with and while I may not use them both all the time, they both definitely get used. I love having a double oven. It’s so convenient.

Large windows.

Natural light is my best friend. I love having the blinds open when the sun is out. It makes me so happy. I also want my sink in front of the windows. This allows me to obviously look outside while doing dishes.

Flour and sugar storage.

I think it would be amazing to have a drawer in the kitchen just for sugar and flour containers.

I saw this thing where the cookbook holder is hanging from underneath a cabinet which is genius!!

Which also leads me to under cabinet lighting. Sometimes when you need a midnight snack you don’t want to turn on all the lights. Enter under cabinet lights!!

I’m sure I have forgotten many amazing things but I’m pretty basic for the most part. But if there something you would suggest I add to my dream kitchen list, please tell me below.
